Philosophy

 Home-based

Treatment is made available to clients in the most natural setting possible, with homes preferred over a clinic setting, unless it is in the client’s best interest otherwise.

 Family Centered

The maximum involvement of parents and other family members is encouraged whenever possible and parents are involved in developing a treatment program.

 Outcome-Based

Treatment is focused on increasing the child and/or adult’s ability to function more successfully in everyday life at school and/or home.

 Family Preservation

Options supports the preservation of family relationships and the enhancing of successful school, community and peer relations whenever possible.

History

Options Counseling Services of Oregon was founded by three women in the small, coastal community of Florence, Oregon, in 1991.  Now it is headquartered in Eugene.  Options is committed to providing quality, cost-effective mental health and family preservation services to the families who make up the metropolitan and rural communities of Oregon. Over the years, Options has expanded their services to include 13 counties throughout Oregon: Clackamas, Lincoln, Columbia, Coos, Douglas, Lane, Multnomah, Washington, Marion, Polk, Yamhill, Tillamook and Clatsop.
